The news came yesterday that Hope Force has been selected in the top five of candidates to win the 50 American Airlines tickets in the "Flights.Camera.Action!" contest. "Out of the hundreds of web submissions that came from the invitation to participate in the contest, we are thrilled to be one of the five finalists," said Cherie Minton, Co-Founder of HFI. "Along with the prospect of greatly advancing our ability to move staff and Reservists into key disaster response locations, this opportunity avails us to future promotions on American Airlines flights."

The five finalists' videos will go to a panel of judges who will determine the winner, based on creativity, impact and content. Jack and Cherie Minton will be flown to Washington DC to participate in the final round of the contest. This will take place on the 15th of September.

Cherie summarizes: "Thank you to each one who has helped us get the word out! We are ALREADY winners, no matter what the judges' decision.  The name of Hope Force has already gone around the world and back as our faithful friends have been posting on their Facebook pages daily, asking their friends to vote, etc.   There are so many people who never heard about Hope Force until the contest. Think of all the people who hopefully will now know that there is a place for them to serve in times of crisis and disaster!"
