Good News from a Distant Land

Starting yesterday, we have 29 HFI responders serving in the hard-hit Chattanooga, Tennessee area. These responders have come (or are heading in) from Tennessee, Indiana, Georgia, Michigan, South Carolina, Mississippi, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and California. There are others in the works. These servants bring "the ministry of presence" with them -- compassion in action -- and represent what the Bible speaks of when it talks about "...good news from a distant land." There is nothing more comforting than to know that people have left their own homes, from far and near, to come alongside you in your time of need. HFI responders: we are grateful for you!!
