Christmas in Sous Savanne

This precious scenario happened over a 2-day period in HFI's adopted village of Sous Savanne. Hope Force has remained since the 2010 earthquake that destroyed 90% of homes in this area near the epicenter, and is still helping to rebuild. "Jwaye Nwel" to all of our dear friends!

We are grateful to each one who sponsors a child through the HFI Child Sponsorship Program! Here is a glimpse into our time with the kids this Christmas! We sang carols, did the "Innkeepers Skit", watched a movie in French (The Star), and the children received special gifts from their sponsors.  

 "For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of His government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over His kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this." Isaiah 9:6-7
