Photographers Needed: "The School Sessions" -- One Day...One School

March 6, 2015

By: Jamie Delaine, Photographer, HFI Reservist

ECCASchool Small09In partnership with Hope Force International (HFI), my husband Randy and I launched "The School Sessions" on January 12th to rebuild a school near HFI?s adopted village of Sous Savanne -- destroyed in the 2010 Haitian earthquake. In less than two months, we have had 437 photographers sign up to be a part of our cause! We have photographers represented from all but one state in the U.S., all provinces in Canada but one, with a total of 17 countries represented!

It has been incredible to see these generous photographers take ownership of this project and getting excited about their businesses partnering with The School Sessions.TheSchoolSessions School3 We have photographers who are quite creative in how they are helping. For instance, some are offering to donate 4 sessions in one day (on April 12th),while others are donating a whole week of sessions leading up to April 12th ? as many as they can book. Another photographer is organizing a day of sessions at her studio for creative entrepreneurs needing new head shots ?while two others are donating coaching sessions for other photographers rather than a portrait session. We welcome any way a photographer wants to get involved in our cause!

TheSchoolSessions School2Leading up to April 12th, we have a goal of recruiting 600 photographers - which we believe will put us in line to reach our $200,000 mark! We are excited to see the money raised and the school built, knowing that this will make a lasting difference in the lives of the school children and their communities.

Please help us recruit and spread the word with the photographers in your life?and thank you for your support!
